We collect information you provide directly when creating an account (name, email, username, role) and data generated through your use of the Platform (exam submissions, task responses, chat messages, classroom activity). We also automatically collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and usage analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to provide and improve the Platform, personalize your experience, facilitate AI-powered grading and feedback, enable communication between users, generate analytics and reports, ensure platform security, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with: teachers and organization administrators within your educational institution as necessary for platform functionality; service providers who assist in operating the Platform (hosting, analytics); and law enforcement when required by applicable law.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. During the Beta period, data may be reset or migrated as part of development operations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
6. Cookies & Tracking
Cognitia uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Technical cookies may be used for analytics to improve the Platform.
7. Your Rights

Cognitia is designed for educational use and may be used by students of various ages under the supervision of teachers and organizations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental or institutional consent.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
